ILOILO City – Two persons were wounded in a shooting incident in Barangay Lupa, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.
Resident Rey Gequira, 32, and Marvin Lucino, 28, of Barangay Agustayan, Sta. Barbara sustained gunshot wounds on the body, a police report showed.
The suspect was only identified as a certain “Alejandro” – a homicide convict who was recently released from prison, the report added.
According to police investigators, Alejandro, with no apparent reason, shot the victims around 10:15 p.m. on Oct. 5.
Gequira and Lucino were brought to the West Visayas State University Medical Center in Mandurriao district for treatment.
Officers of the Sta. Barbara police station have yet to arrest the suspect, who feld after the incident./PN
