ILOILO City – Three women were arrested yesterday in an entrapment operation at a hotel in Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao district.
According to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Region 6, the following face charges for alleged illegal recruitment:
* Ruth Rioveros, 41, of San Juan City, Batangas
* Airah Shaynne Rubia, 27, of Cauayan City, Bulacan
* Freda Gahum, 33, of Barangay San Roque, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo
They were arrested at 11:45 a.m.
The CIDG conducted the entrapment after the following sought its help: Noren Jean Baes, 25, of Barangay Poblacion, Barotac Viejo, iloilo and Christian Berola, 35, of Poblacion Zone 2, Estancia, Iloilo.
According to the complainants, they were asked to pay P9,500 each as processing fee for a job in Poland.
According to Major Jess Baylon, head of CIDG-Iloilo City, the two complainants coordinated with the CIDG.
“Nanawagan tayo baka may nabiktima pang ibang tao. Pumunta lang po sa office natin para maimbestigaran at ma-file ang kaso,” said Colonel Joseph Ian Lofranco, CIDG-6 director./PN
