ILOILO City – Police caught three individuals engaging in illegal gambling in Barangay Santo Angel, San Miguel, Iloilo.
James Alcon, Shan Martin Capilastique and Jefferson Carigue were caught playing cara y cruz around 1 a.m. on June 21, police said.
Recovered from their possession were P9,320 bet money and gambling paraphernalia.
Detained in the lockup facility of the San Miguel police station, the suspects face charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602, which prescribes stiffer penalties on illegal gambling./PN
