BACOLOD City – Anti-drug operatives of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) collared four suspects who yielded around P1,088,000 worth of suspected shabu in separate buy-bust operations in barangays Mansilingan and 1 in this city.
On September 11, officers of the Police Station 7 arrested alias “Joefer”, a resident of Barangay Mansilingan, in the village’s Pana-ad Access Road. Authorities seized suspected shabu valued at approximately P136,000.
However, the operation took an unexpected turn when a black sedan driven by alias “Jesus”, also from Barangay Mansilingan, accidentally bumped into two police corporals who carried out the drug bust and the suspect.
All three sustained minor injuries, while a tricycle in the area was also damaged.
Meanwhile, at 12:55 a.m. on Sunday, September 14, the BCPO’s City Drug Enforcement Unit arrested three more drug suspects in Purok Bolinao, Barangay 1.
Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Benitez Jr. identified the suspects as aliases “ Koykoy/Ebol”, 28, married, a resident of Purok Bolinao; “Wab”, 18, of Purok Bolinao; and “Mark”, 22, from Purok Tangigue.
Police seized around 140 grams of suspected shabu worth P952,000, and a marked P1,000 bill used during the transaction.
All four suspects were detained, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Watchmen Daily Journal)/PN
