ILOILO City – Three computer shops in Barangay Tabuc Suba, La Paz district were issued closure orders for allegedly violating the curfew for minors and minimum health standards against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Aside from failing to implement social distancing, the computer shops were also operating without mayor’s permits.

Mayor Jerry Treñas ordered the closure of Caso Store/GWOE Internet Shop, ARCI Comp Piso Net and Blue MArs Piso Net Cafe on April 23.

“In this time of crisis, we must be responsible business owners for the safety of our customers,” said Treñas.

Meanwhile, two more computer shops – ASV Computer Shop in Barangay Malipayon and the one owned by Rose Ann Francisco in Barangay Riza Pala Pala II – were ordered closed on April 21. These two also allegedly violated the curfew ordinance for minors and operated without mayor’s permit.

The Task Force on Morals and Values Formation headed by Nestor Canong, together with the Iloilo City Police Office-Women and Children Desk and other force multipliers, have been continuously operating every night, making sure that the curfew for minors is followed./PN
