ILOILO City – Crossing the road turned fatal for a 71-year-old woman in Barangay Banban Grande, Lambunao, Iloilo.
Concepcion Magbanua, a resident of the village, sustained injuries on the body, a police report showed. It was around 6:35 p.m. on Oct. 3 when Magbanua was hit by a motorcycle driven by Joevanie Jose, 32, Barangay Daan Banwa, Lambunao.
Jose and Magbanua were both taken to the Dr. Ricardo S. Provido Memorial District Hospital in Calinog, Iloilo but the latter was pronounced “dead on arrival.”
Jose, who sustained minor injuries, was recuperating at the hospital. It was not immediately clear if charges will be filed against him./PN
