Fil-Am basketball guard ‘Mr. Home-wrecker’
BLIND ITEM 1: “Mr. Home-wrecker” is what his teammates from a very popular PBA ball club are calling this Filipino-American guard for his nonstop flirting with a woman who is very much married.
A source told Buzzer Beater that even if the Filipino-American player knows that the girl he wants is already married with a former basketball player, who is currently working abroad, he still continues with his advances.
“Hindi nga alam ng mga kakampi niya bakit habol ng habol si player dun sa babae e parehas naman silang may sabit,” said the source. “Madami na ang nag-a-advise sa kanya na tigilan na niya si babae pero ayaw niyang papigil.”
“Umaasa daw kasi si player na baka makasingit siya kay babae dahil on the rocks ito sa asawa niya na nasa abroad,” he added. “Alam na din ni mister iyong pinaggagagawa ni player sa misis niya.”
The source said the husband of the girl is planning to return home soon to reconcile with his wife and tell the Filipino-American player – hopefully in a nice way – to stop flirting with his wife.
“Huwag na sanang antayin ni player na magpang-abot pa sila nung asawa nung babae although wala naman daw balak si lalaki na awayin si player. Kundi gusto niya sana sa maayos na usapan, kung kakayanin,” said the source.
“Hirap din kasi kay player feeling sikat wala namang skill. Maswerte na lang siya at ni-request siya nung kababayan niyang big man na kunin sa team niya kundi malamang naglalako na lang yan ng otap sa kanila.”
BLIND ITEM 2: A team owner of a years-old PBA team is hell bent on taking the services of a very popular player although he knows that the player will not contribute much to his team.
A source told Buzzer Beater that the team owner has been trying to recruit the popular player since early this year after learning of his desire to leave his current PBA squad.
“Matagal na kasing magkakilala si team owner at si popular player kaya gustong-gusto niya ito makuha kahit alam niya na hindi naman makakatulong sa opensa si player,” said the source.
“Kaya nung nalaman niya na gusto nang umalis ni player sa team niya, sige na si team owner sa pag-recruit sa kanya para lumipat sa kanya at ang dami pang ino-offer,” he added.
“Vocal naman si team owner na seryoso siyang makuha si player kaya kahit nung pumunta sa China si player sumunod agad siya para ituloy yung pag-recruit sa kanya,” he said.
The source also said the player is also very much open to transfer to the team of the team owner since his contract with his previous team is already done and the player has reportedly informed that he does not intend to renew his contract.
“Alam kasi ni team owner na kahit hindi ganoon kagaling si player ay malakas ang hatak nito sa fans. Kayang-kaya nitong pabanguhin yung imahe ng team. Kaya kahit pakyawan ang presyo handang sumugal si team owner,” the source said./PN
