ILOILO City – At a restaurant/bar in Barangay Sto. Niño Sur, Arevalo District, a 19-year-old student and his group were tagged in a mauling incident.
According to complainants Nicanor Cepeda of Barangay Simsiman, Calinog, Iloilo and John Joshua Gedor of Laua-an, Antique, they were attacked around 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday for no apparent reason.
They identified a suspect – Jeric Almer Ayon, a student of John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University, and four friends.
Ayon was drunk, Gedor and Cepeda told the Arevalo police.
Both complainants were 19 years old, too.
The mauling took place at Le Gresh restaurant/bar.
Ayon and his four friends left the place after the mauling, according to Gedor and Cepeda.
The complainants failed to identify the four other young men./PN
