MANILA – GlobalPort Batang Pier is already seeing a roadblock in its campaign in the yet-to-open PBA Philippine Cup.

Star guard Terrence Romeo is likely to be out for the entire conference due to a knee injury.

Romeo said he could be out for two to three months – which will also make it impossible for him to suit up for Gilas Pilipinas’ matches against Australia and Japan in February.

Tingin ko mga two to three months pa bago ako makalaro uli,” he said.

Romeo was unable to play for the national team during its first two campaigns, against Japan and Chinese Taipei, in the 2019 FIBA World Cup Qualifier last month.

Batang Pier will have to settle for its other guards – Stanley Pringle, Jonathan Grey, Sean Anthony, Ryan Arana, Andreas Cahilig, and Michael Juico – for offense./PN
