ILOILO City – Five drug suspects were cornered at a lodge in Barangay Sto. Niño Norte, Arevalo district.
The following were detained at the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 6 detention facility in Fort San Pedro:
* Antonio Alquisola, 38, of Barangay Don Esteban, Lapuz district
* Grace Bautista, 30, Barangay Sambag, Jaro, Iloilo City
* Elenita Edanio, 38, of Barangay Monica-Blumentritt, Iloilo City
* Dina Gelvezon, 37, of Barangay Liberation, Iloilo City
* James Jamena, 30, of Leganes, Iloilo
* Angeline Llono, 31, of Mambusao, Capiz
Director Wardley Getalla said an undercover PDEA personnel initially bought from Alquisola a sachet of shabu for P500 inside Room 5 of RBR Lodge around 8 p.m.
After the successful transaction, Alquisola was arrested.
The suspect’s five other companions in the room were also apprehended. Getalla said they were having a pot session.
PDEA recovered 25 grams of shabu with a street value of P125,000.
Getalla said Alquisola had been renting the room and would allow clients to consume shabu there.
Clients were charged an additional P200 to use his room, said Getalla.
“Alquisola was wise. Palipat-lipat siya ng venue. Hindi siya agad magbebenta ng droga buti na lang nakuha natin siya,” he said.
