KALIBO, Aklan – The organizer of the Ati-Atihan Festival will be presenting its financial report this February, a few weeks after the grand celebration.
The Kalibo Santo Niño Ati-Atihan Foundation, Inc. (Kasafi) is required to submit the financial report within 60 days after the festival – which ended on Jan. 21 – to the Sangguniang Bayan (SB).
The report will include the festival activities and other operations of Kasafi throughout the year.
Kasafi chairman Albert Menez commended the support of local government officials, church leaders, police, and other stakeholders in making Ati-Atihan Festival safe and successful.
Menez described this year’s Ati-Atihan as the “best-managed” festival with a success rate of 9.
For the past seven years, Kasafi complied with all its requirements to the SB, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
Kasafi has heavily relied on sponsorships and the local governments of Kalibo and Aklan in making the Ati-Atihan festive.
The festival fund was used for manpower, street decorations, security, contest prizes, printing, promotions, and planning and assessment, among others. (Aklan Forum Journal/PN)
