ROXAS City – Five persons charged with different crimes were arrested in Capiz this week.
One of them is Rechie “Kadong” Sontousidad, the No. 9 most wanted person in the province.
Sontousidad was arrested over a frustrated murder charge on Monday in Barangay Poblacion Norte, Ivisan town.
Officers from the Capiz Police Provincial Office staged the arrest.
Sontousidad was detained. A P200,000 bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty.
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old Eugene “Kitbol” Martinez of Barangay Dumolog, Roxas City was arrested around 10:40 p.m. on Tuesday in Barangay IV, Roxas City.
Martinez faces a theft case, police said.
Police also served the 62-year-old Geraldo Ramos with an arrest warrant the court issued in relation to his rape case.
Ramos, a resident of Barangay Putian, Cuartero town, is the No. 8 most wanted person in Capiz.
In Panay town, municipal police officers arrested the 21-year-old Alejandro “Ebok” Basilonia Jr. of Barangay Linao and 29-year-old Joed Distura of Barangay Daga.
Basilonia and Distura were facing charges for serious physical injuries, police said.
The suspects were detained in their respective municipal police stations’ lockup facility./PN
