BACOLOD City – This capital city is one of the four fastest growing cities in the country in terms of “property searches,” according to an online real estate marketplace.
Bacolod, Davao, Lapu-Lapu, and Zamboanga made up the top 4 of Lamudi’s June 2018 Report on Online Data and Trends among Philippine Cities.
Lamudi vice president Gilles Hage disclosed this data to Mayor Evelio Leonardia in a local government and business forum in Manila recently.
Lamudi – a real estate property finder that covers a wide range of properties for sale and rent – records and analyzes real estate demand and supply. It operates in 34 countries.
Its clients include Ayala Land, Megaworld Corp., Robinsons Land, SMDC, Filinvest, Aboitiz Land, and Anchor Landholdings.
“The ranking means that people have now started to discover Bacolod. This data tells us that the future is in Bacolod City,” said Leonardia.
Last year, Bacolod was named the Top Philippine Model City by The Manila Times.
This year it ranked first runner-up in the same contest with a special recognition of being the “Most Business-Friendly City.”
“With the big players already here and massive property developments underway, we can really say that Bacolod is surging full speed ahead,” said Leonardia. (With Bacolod City PIO/PN)
