BACOLOD City – A total of 14 barangays in this city are expected to participate in this year’s MassKara Festival Street and Arena Dance Competition.
The participants include Barangays 3, 4, 5, 6, 12, 16, 32, 39, 40, Handumanan, Banago, Estefania, Bata, and the defending champion Barangay Tangub.
Aside from winning last year’s competition, Barangay Tangub also garnered the award for Best in Original Music. Barangay 18 which won Best in Choreography and Best in Costume came in second place.
Choreographers of the top three performing groups last year namely Segundo Jesus “Panoy” Cabalcar, Joedem Casabuena and Ronelo Mabilog will again participate in this year’s competition that will take place on Oct. 7./PN
