SILAY City – Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts netted a double victory in the 1st Asenso Silay Mayors Cup Invitational Basketball League 2019 by bagging the U-15 category title at the Silay Gym here.
Behind the heroics of U-15 category MVP awardee Nathan Jundana, the Thunderbolts pulled off a 79-77 escape over the MF Computer Solutions in the do-or-die championship match.
Also part of the Thunderbolts’ team mentored by Dexter Dy were Heinz Gabriel Demisana, Rafael Albert Ledesma, Mike Lebron Estelloso, Christian James Juguan and, Thomas Pillado.
Completing the team were Adrielle Vince Binguan, Johanan Raymond Castiller, Dylan Benedict Despi, Marvin delos Santos, Joshua Farahmir Dignadice, Carl Jalea, Jose Palafox, Toni Siglos, Ron Bedonia, Vince Hugo, and Kian Ramos.
“This championship is a good for the team because we are measuring hanggang saan ang kakayanin namin,” Dy said.
On Sunday, the Thunderbolts’ U-12 team, led by MVP winner Adrian Alagaban, also won the U-12 boys basketball category crown by defeating University of St. La Salle in the finals./PN
