PHILIPPINE shares traded flat on Friday as concerns over the Wuhan coronavirus tempered trading activity in the local market.
The main PSEi gained 7.06 points or 0.09
percent to 7,623.41 at the closing bell. The broader All Shares increased by
19.37 points or 0.43 percent to 4,523.57.
“Shares closed flat with some concerns regarding the severity of the Wuhan
coronavirus,” Regina Capital head of sales Luis Limlingan said.
“The World Health Organization concluded that it is now a local Chinese emergency, but the situation has not yet become a global health emergency,” Limlingan added.
More than 847.153 million shares valued at P5.722 billion, changed hands. Advancers led decliners, 106 to 70, and 60 issues were unchanged. (GMA News)
