BACOLOD City – A 15-year-old boy was believed to have drowned in a river in Barangay E. Lopez, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
Police said the victim went out swimming with his companions around 9 a.m. on Feb. 9.
Resident Sandro Obaldo discovered the boy’s body floating in the river 20 minutes later.
The boy was rushed to the Teresita Lopes Provincial Hospital in Silay City where the attending physician pronounced him “dead on arrival.”
Officers of the Silay City police station have yet to rule out foul play in the incident./PN
