BACOLOD City – More than 40 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in the cities of Cadiz and Escalante in this province received their certificates of land ownership award (CLOAs) in separate rites facilitated by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).
Twenty-six ARBs were awarded titles to more than 11 hectares of land formerly owned by Elsansi Agro Development Corporation in Barangay Mabini, Cadiz City.
Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer (MARPO) Hannah Jubay of DAR–Cadiz City led the awarding ceremony.
“Now, as new landowners, we urge you to bear a great harvest for your respective families and remember the tax responsibilities and other obligations,” Jubay told the beneficiaries.
In Escalante City, meanwhile, 20 ARBs received their CLOAs and were installed on some 10-hectare landholding which was formerly owned by Alexander Rivera in Barangay Dian-ay.
“You have now your CLOAs which legalize you as the owners of the land. May you all have good harvests and use the land wisely to better your lives,” said MARPO in Escalante City Maricel Seduco. (With a report from PIA/PN)
