MANILA – Ilonggo volleyballers Lawrence Borra and John Emmanuel Dedoroy will be suiting up for the University of Santo Tomas Tiger Cubs.
Dedoroy and Borra were instrumental during the championship run of the Central Philippine University Golden Lions, representing Western Visayas, in the 2019 National Private Schools Athletic Association competition.
The tournament hailed the five-foot-eleven Sara, Iloilo-native Borra as the best setter and the five-foot-eleven Dumangas, Iloilo-native Dedoroy as best middle blocker.
Borra and Dedoroy are expected to showcase their calibers for the UST boys’ volleyball team which is aiming to bounce back the next University Athletic Association of the Philippines season.
The squad was defeated by Far Eastern University Baby Tamaraws during the semifinals of the tournament last year./PN
