KALIBO, Aklan — No cockpits in Aklan have yet resumed their operation even if the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases announced it was now allowing cock derbies in areas under Modified General Community Quarantine.
According to Police Captain William Aguirre of the Aklan Police Provincial Office, several local government units have submitted proposals to allow cockfights in their turfs but that they still needed to submit pertinent documents.
It is the Department of Interior and Local Government that will either approve or disapprove the proposals./PN
