Double your money in Capiz? Roxas denies ties to scheme

ROXAS City – Former Interior secretary Mar Roxas denied endorsing any investment or financial product, program, service or business in Capiz.

In a statement, Roxas also stressed he had no connection with Patrocenio C. Chiyuto a.k.a. Don Chiyuto a.k.a. Don Zhang Lee Chiyuto and the Chiyuto Creative Wealth Document Facilitation Services (CCWDFS) or the so-called Chiyuto Double-Your-Money Scheme.

“Indi ko kilala…Waay ako transaksyon o maski nano nga kahilabtanan or kaangtanan sa iya o sa iya mga kumpanya o negosyo.  Ilabi na gid nga wala ko siya gina endorso kag wala ko gina sakdag ang iya produkto / serbisyo / negosyo,” read part of the statement.

Roxas asked his kasimanwas to be careful of, or better yet, avoid people who say he (Roxas) is connected with their investment or financial business products.

He also advised them to be very careful with their money as these are their hard-earned savings.

“Bago ibigay ang pinaghirapang pera, siguraduhing legitimate business yan,” said Roxas.

He added: “Look for authentic, up-to-date registrations and certificates of compliance from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Insurance Commission, mayors’ permit, etc. as appropriate; and check kung may na-isyung advisory o warning ang mga government agencies tungkol sa mga lumalapit sa inyo.”

Based on its advisory dated Aug. 18, 2020, SEC said CCWDFS “is not registered with the Commission either as a corporation or as a partnership.”/PN
