BACOLOD City – A locally stranded individual (LSI) suffered a stroke on a flight back home.
The 71-year-old man from Barangay Handumanan was aboard a Cebu Pacific Air flight bound for Bacolod-Silay Airport.
According to Negros Occidental provincial administrator Reyfrando Diaz, the elderly was initially rushed to the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City.
He was transferred to a private hospital here where the attending physician pronounced him dead.
A CT scan result revealed the repatriate had “55 percent bleeding” in his cranial cavity.
According to Diaz, the provincial government made a request for a reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction test to determine if the patient was infected with the coronavirus disease 2019./PN
