No border restrictions with Negros Occidental

Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. confirmed that border restrictions with Negros Occidental will not be imposed, confident that the province will be able to control the rise of their COVID-19 cases.

“Indi man kinahanglan mag-impose kita sang border restrictions sa Negros Occidental,” Defensor Jr. said.

“I was talking to Governor Bong Lacson and I’m confident that even with their rising cases they are executing correct heath protocols and containment measures for Negros Occidental which also benefits the rest of Region 6.”

The statement was made following Iloilo City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas’ request to close its borders with the neighboring province, asking the Governor for his final decision on the matter. | via Ime Sornito / PN
