SAN CARLOS CITY – Joint operating elements of the police here and the Maritime Group arrested the No. 3 most wanted person in this city.
Jonril Carmona was a 26-year-old driver. He was caught at Crossing Waray, Purok Nangka, Barangay Quezon at about 8:30 a.m. on June 4.
Carmona had a standing warrant of arrest for rape and four counts of charges for violation of the Special Protection of Children Against Child Abuse, Exploitation And Discrimination Act (Anti-Child Abuse Law). It was issued by Presiding Judge Amy Alabado Avellano of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 58 on May 18.
The charges were filed by different complainants on March 2021. According to two of them, they were raped sometime in 2015 and it was repeated a year after, and on June 2020.
Avellano recommended no bail for the suspect’s rape case and bail bond amounting to P180,000 for the charge of acts of lasciviousness.
Carmona was taken to the San Carlos City police station./PN
