EARLIER this year, celebrity couple Kylie Padilla and Aljur Abrenica’s cryptic posts on social media sparked breakup rumors. The pair has since posted photos of each other again, together with their sons Alas and Axl.
In an interview on Ogie Diaz’s vlog, Kylie’s dad, Robin Padilla, revealed that the couple has indeed split up, that Kylie was the one who broke up with Aljur, and that the separation involved a third party. “Paano mo hinarap ‘yung issue na ‘yung anak mo na babae…tapos naghiwalay sila ni Aljur?” Ogie asked.
Robin responded: “Wala. Una, walang sinasabi ‘yung anak ko. Noon pa, lagi kong tinatanong si Kylie, ‘Agrabyado ka ba?’ Hindi naman daw. Ito tinanong ko din siya ulit, ‘Anak, agrabyado ka ba?’ ‘Hindi Pa, ako ang nakipaghiwalay e.'”
According to the actor, what happened was also hurtful for him and that he told Kylie and Aljur to stop “fighting” on social media. He did not intervene because only Kylie and Aljur could fix the problem.
Robin told Ogie that a third party was involved on Aljur’s end. He then went on to express his sentiments about the couple, saying that despite the separation, Aljur and Kylie seem to be on good terms.
Robin hopes the two can fix their relationship for the sake of their children.(Cosmopolitan)
