Treasurer’s office ransacked

CAPIZ – The treasurer’s office of the local government unit of Ivisan town was ransacked over the weekend.  An estimated P40,000 cash disappeared.

According to Municipal Treasurer Melinda Aldea, a job order employee discovered on Sunday the office’s door already open and the padlock missing.  Inside, things were strewed.

The robbers/s appeared to have gained entry to the office by breaking the glass at the back of the Registrar’s Office so they could step on the grills up to the balcony and eventually to the treasurer’s office where they forcibly broke the padlock.

The Ivisan police launched an investigation.

Recordings of security cameras at the municipal hall were being reviewed./PN
