ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR)-6 granted fiberglass tubs or lamaan in local dialect to dried fish operators here.
BFAR 6 regional director Remia A. Aparri and BFAR OIC Provincial Fisheries Officer Edwin Candelario turned over the fiberglass tubs to 22 beneficiaries from this city through City Agriculturist Mary Ann Baria.
“Sadto scrap lang nga ref ang amon lamaan subong fiber na! Kamahal sini nga daan baklon. Dako guid nga bulig ini sa amon nga mga small scale nga manugbulad ang libre nga lamaan nga guinhatag sa amon sang BFAR sa pagpanikasog ni Mayor Ronnie (Dadivas),” said one of the dried fish operators.
Dadivas, on his part, is hopeful that the fiberglass tubs can be of help to the livelihood of fisherfolks.
“Kabay nga ini makapamag-an sa inyo pangabuy-anan kag inyo guid halungan,” said Dadivas./PN
