PATNONGON, Antique – A 33-year-old school security guard was shot to death in Barangay Aureliana here.
Ven Edward Gotico of Barangay Maybato North, San Jose, Antique was a security guard of Aureliana National High School.
He was on board his motorcycle going to his boardinghouse when the shooting happened at around 6:30 p.m. on April 13.
Police investigation showed that the gunman or gunmen – still unidentified as of press time – were on a motorcycle, too.
Gotico was declared “dead on arrival” at the Bugasong Medical Community Hospital in Bugasong town. He succumbed to gunshot wounds on his left face and shoulders.
Gotico’s remains were taken to a funeral parlor for an autopsy.
Police investigators recovered three fired .45 caliber cartridge cases and personal belongings of the victim./PN
