KALIBO, Aklan – Operatives of Ibajay, Aklan’s police station arrested a drug pushing suspect on July 22 in a buy-bust operation at around 3:50 a.m. at the suspect’s house in Barangay San Isidro.
The 45-year-old Aldwin Andrade faces charges for violation of Section 5 (trading, sale of dangerous drugs) and Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs ), Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Andrade, however, denied trafficking illegal drugs. He insisted he was sleeping when the operatives barged into his house.
Cops have a different version of what happened – an undercover police officer bought from the suspect a sachet of shabu P1,250.
Cops further reported to have recovered four sachets during the body search.
Prior to the buy-bust, Andrade was placed under surveillance for three months, police said./PN
