ILOILO City – A 21-year-old man was shot dead around 4 a.m. on Aug. 20 at Smallville Complex in Barangay San Rafael, Mandurriao district.
Axel Sean Del Castillo was a resident of Barangay Guzman, Mandurriao.
Citing statements from witnesses, Police Staff Sergeant Alvin Palma said the gunman was driving a black sport utility vehicle.
The police named a suspect – John Robel Vargas of Pavia, Iloilo.
According to witnesses, Del Castillo was relieving himself when shot. He was brought to the nearby Medicus Hospital where he died some 20 minutes after.
As of this writing, Vargas’ whereabouts were unknown.
