ILOILO – A 17-year-old boy landed in a hospital after he was stabbed in Janiuay town around 12:45 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 3.
The victim, whose name the police withheld, was a Grade 12 student of Janiuay National Comprehensive High School. He sustained a stab wound on the left side of his body and was taken to the Janiuay District Hospital.
Police, meanwhile, identified the suspect as Dionisio Bila-ong, 18.
“Natabo ni sa likod na sang portion sa eskwelahan nila. Gin-approach ni ang victim sang suspect nga si Dionisio Bila-ong kag ginsumbag. So nagbato ang biktima pero naggabot ini sang kutsilyo ang suspect ta sa bag niya kag ginbuno ang biktima. Naigo ang biktima sa kilid. Maayo lang kay indi patal and nalagyo naman ya ang aton suspect,” said Police Lieutenant Alwin Salmon, chief of the Janiuay Police Station.
Police are still investigating whether the suspect and the victim had previous conflicts.
