ILOILO – Two houses were totally gutted by a fire that broke out on Magallanes Street, Alimodian town around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16.
The houses were owned by Raul and Marcelina Amada and Grace Delgado.
According to Senior Fire Officer 3 Carlos Zerrudo Jr. of the Alimodian Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire started in one of the rooms inside the house of the Amada family and quickly spread to the neighboring house of the Delgado family.
Both houses were made of light materials.
Residents were further alarmed because Grace’s brother who was a person with disability (PWD) was in the house.
The brother was safely rescued.
