ILOILO – The No. 1 most wanted person in Zamboanga Sibugay province was nabbed in Ajuy, Iloilo.
Murder suspect Jomar T. Posadas, 33, was also the No. 4 most wanted person in Region 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula) and No. 8 in the municipality of Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Posadas was arrested in Barangay Poblacion, Ajuy, Iloilo on March 8, 2023, through a warrant issued by Hon. Joel Gonzaga Vercide, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, Ninth Judicial Region-Branch 37 on Sept. 17, 2021.
Iloilo Provincial Police Office spokesperson Police Major Rolando Araño lauded the successful manhunt operation against Posadas.
“Ginapanginbulahan ta gid kag sang aton nga provincial director Police Colonel Ronaldo. P. Palomo ang Ajuy Municipal Police Station, ang Provincial Intellegence Unit, Regional Intelligence Unit, kag ang iban pa nga mga nag-participate nga mga police units sa pagdakop sang suspect,” said Araño.
The spokesperson also warned, “Sa mga criminals kag would-be criminals as well as sa mga wanted persons naton, ang aton kapulisan indi gid mag untat sa pag-ayam sa ila. For those nga wala pa madakpan mas maayo nga mag-surrender na lang.”
Posadas is being held by the Ajuy municipal police./PN
