
AKLAN – A dead man was dumped on the roadside in Barangay Lupo, Altavas town yesterday morning, April 12.
Leo Vicente Belarmino, 50, a resident of the place, had stab wounds to his neck and stomach.
The suspect, Rosel Almanon Fojas, 26, also a resident of the barangay, was arrested in a hot pursuit operation, according to Police Staff Sergeant Richard Villar of the Altavas Municipal Police.
Recovered from Fojas was a nine-inch-long knife.
Based on the initial investigation, Belarmino was on a drinking spree with several others around 8:30 p.m. on April 11 when the already inebriated Fojas joined them.
After everyone else went home, the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim, police added. (With a report from RMN DYKR Kalibo)/PN
