BACOLOD City – A father lost his life in the hands of his son in Bangga Diot, Barangay III-Poblacion, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental on Tuesday morning, Sept. 5.
The 59-year-old Fernando Jodilla Sr. had an altercation with his 28-year-old son Fernando Jr., according to the Himamaylan city police.
As neighbors tried to appease the fight, Fernando Jr. picked up a knife and stabbed his father in the chest, police said.
The elder Jodilla was rushed to the city’s Gov. Valeriano M. Gatuslao Memorial Hospital but was declared “dead on arrival” by the attending physician.
Fernando Jr., meanwhile, was arrested in a follow-up operation by the Himamaylan city police and could face parricide charges. (Watchmen Daily Journal)
