ILOILO – During the week-long intensified police operations, dubbed “Birada Semana,” the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) demonstrated significant success in curbing illegal drug activities.

The IPPO, under the leadership of Police Colonel Ronaldo P. Palomo, carried out 13 operations from Jan. 8 to 14.

These resulted in the arrest of 15 individuals involved in drug-related activities, including four high-value suspects.

Additionally, law enforcement efforts led to the confiscation of 505 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated standard drug price of P3,434,000.

Palomo reaffirmed the IPPO’s unwavering commitment to deliver more accomplishments, especially in the anti-drug campaign, expressing intentions to deploy narcotics canine units on all borders and sea ports throughout the province.

“Rest assured that your Ilonggo cops remain steadfast to sustain the momentum. And with your active support and full cooperation, we will be able to surpass the gains we attained last year. We shall work together towards achieving our common goal—a safer, more peaceful, progressive, and drug-free Iloilo province,” he reiterated./PN
