BACOLOD City – The 48th edition of the Sinulog sa Kabankalan Festival in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental has been peaceful.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Roberto Indiape of the Kabankalan Component City Police Station said their monitoring showed that the festival remained in order up until the highlights.

The 10-day annual event ran from Jan. 12 to 21, 2024.

Indiape noted that this was achieved through sufficient deployment of police personnel from the beginning of the celebration, along with augmentation from the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, other law enforcement agencies, and force multipliers.

Although there were minor incidents during the celebration, Indiape said those were immediately resolved.
