AKLAN – Human remains were found in a grassy area of Barangay Catabana, Madalag, Aklan.
The Madalag town police, under the leadership of Police Executive Master Sergeant Jim Villaurel, immediately responded to the area after receiving a report from Barangay Captain Jolan Insion on Feb. 15.
Based on their records, the Madalag police disclosed that a blotter report was filed before their office about a missing person two years ago.
Upon validation by the family, the remains found were positively identified as those of 67-year-old Romeo Navarra Rufo.
He was identified by the family by the clothes he was wearing.
