AKLAN – A loaded van fell into a ravine in Madalag town’s Sitio Paghidait in Barangay Alaminos on Tuesday afternoon, April 9.
The closed van carrying around 150 gallons of cooking oil and 15 bags of sugar was from Libacao town and was headed to Makato.
While passing through a steep slope, the vehicle reportedly malfunctioned until the driver, whose name was withheld, lost control of it.
The driver and his passenger were able to exit the van before it fell.
A woman, identified as Ailine Eslao and a resident of the barangay who was tending to her plants, luckily evaded unharmed after her husband warned of the falling vehicle./PN
