ILOILO – Police seized approximately P680,000 worth of suspected shabu from a high-value drug suspect in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Malico, Batad town around 6:40 a.m. yesterday.
The suspect was identified as alias “Kent,” 26 years old, and a resident of Barangay Botongon, Estancia town.
According to the officers of the Batad Municipal Police Station’s (MPS) Drug Enforcement Team and Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Team, Kent yielded around 100 grams of illegal drugs.
The suspect was detained at the Batad MPS.
He will face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
