ILOILO – An argument over tools and livestock ended in the fatal shooting of a farmer around 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, in Barangay Cabudian, Dueñas town.
The 82-year-old Francisco Poblacion, a resident of the said place, sustained a gunshot wound on his back. He was rushed to Calinog District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
According to the investigation of the Dueñas Municipal Police Station, the shooting incident occurred after a heated argument between Francisco and his brother-in-law, Margarito Demanuel, 85, after the victim suspected the latter of taking his tools and killing his livestock.
