BACOLOD City – A total of 85 grams of suspected shabu approximately valued at P578,000 were seized from three drug suspects during Monday night’s buy-bust operation in Purok Sulom Dos, Barangay Villamonte here.
Aliases “Jerry”, 54, tagged as a high-value individual; “Ruel”, 27; and “Raffy”, 28, all residents of the said barangay, were arrested by the Bacolod City Police Office’s Drug Enforcement Unit (BCPO-DEU) after selling suspected shabu to a poseur buyer around 7:30 p.m.
The suspects are now under police custody. They will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Brigadier General Jack Wanky, director of the Police Regional Office 6, commended the BCPO-DEU operatives for the successful operation.
“Nakamit natin ang accomplishment na ito dahil sa mga impormasyon na ipinapaabot sa atin, kaya nagpapasalamat po tayo sa tulong ng publiko. Makakaasa po kayo na nandiyan palagi ang inyong pulisya na handang tugonan ang inyong mga sumbong na ipinapaabot sa amin,” Wanky said./PN
