ILOILO City – The Philippine National Police (PNP) will hold its entrance and promotional examinations on November 24 this year.
In Western Visayas, the National Police Commission (Napolcom) will administer it at the examination centers in this city and Bacolod City.
Applicants should register to the Napolcom Online Scheduling System from October 7 to 11.
Processing of applications will begin October 8 until November 6.
Applicants should follow the procedures below:
* Go to Napolcom website, www.napolcom.gov.ph;
* Click the Napolcon Online Scheduling System link;
* Fill out the required data and review the same;
* Upload the following documents:
1. For civilian applicant – one valid government-issued identification (ID) card with applicant’s date of birth (national ID, passport, postal ID, driver’s license, Professional Regulation Commission ID, etc.).
2. For PNP member – PNP ID
* Receive a notice indicating the date of the face-to-face processing of application at the Napolcom regional office concerned and have the same screened shot/printed
The entrance examination is open to all Filipino citizens 21 to 30 years old on the day of the examination and must have a bachelor’s degree.
Examinees who passed the entrance examination are conferred with police eligibility required for appointment to the rank of Patrolman/Patrolwoman.
The promotional examination, meanwhile, is exclusive to all qualified uniformed personnel of the PNP who meet the minimum qualification standards for examination in terms of rank and eligibility.
Promotional examination title and examination rank coverage include Police Officer 4th Class (Police Corporal to Police Staff Sergeant), Police Officer 3rd Class (Police Master Sergeant to Police Executive Master Sergeant), Police Officer 2nd Class (Police Lieutenant to Police Captain), and Police Officer 1st Class (Police Major and Police Lieutenant Colonel).
Successful promotional examinees are conferred with the police eligibility required for promotion to the ranks corresponding to the examination’s eligibility rank coverage. (With a report from the Philippine Information Agency)/PN
