ILOILO – A drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Jalaud Sur, Zarraga, Iloilo led to the confiscation of suspected shabu on Saturday night, December 7.
The operation carried out by the Zarraga Municipal Police Station (MPS) targeted a 28-year-old resident identified as alias “Jay,” a poultry vendor allegedly involved in illegal drug activities.
Captain Dandy Ilalto, officer-in-charge of the Zarraga MPS, revealed that the suspect had been under surveillance due to suspicions of drug dealing.
Recovered from the suspect were 32 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P217,600.
The suspect is now detained at the Zarraga MPS, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
