BACOLOD City – The City Health Office (CHO) will only accommodate 1,000 individuals per day to avail of the remaining flu vaccines.
The mass vaccination at the third floor of SM City Bacolod will resume on Friday and Saturday, January 17 and 18.
City Health Officer Ma. Carmela Gensoli said they have to limit the number of individuals because only 2,000 doses of flu vaccines were left.
She added that the Department of Health (DOH) provided the CHO with almost 15,000 doses of flu vaccines, but 10,000 doses were allotted to barangay health centers here.
The CHO reminded the public that flu shots are intended for 12 years old and above. Minors must be accompanied by their parent or guardian.
Meanwhile, no more pneumonia vaccines are available during mall vaccination, said Gensoli.
Those who would want to avail themselves of the pneumonia vaccine, they should visit their respective health center or the CHO.
Pneumonia vaccines are for 60 years old and above. Elderlies who are undergoing dialysis are prioritized. They need to present their senior citizen identification (ID) card or any valid ID with birthdate for validation.
From January 9 to 11, the CHO conducted flu and pneumonia vaccinations at Ayala Malls Capitol Central’s Activity Center and Robinsons Place Bacolod-Mandalagan./PN
