ILOILO – A motorcycle driver sustained minor injuries after his vehicle collided with a public utility jeepney in Bangga Inas, Barangay Tranghawan, Lambunao town.
Lambunao police identified the motorcyclist as Kurt Stephen Casiple, 29, while the jeepney driver was identified as Rey Latoza Legaspi, 60, a resident of Barangay Walang, Lambunao.
Initial investigation revealed that the jeepney was making a left turn when the speeding motorcycle slammed against the right side of the former on Friday night, January 17.
Casiple tried to jump off his motorcycle and landed on the jeepney’s roof before falling onto the road.
Police said Casiple was wearing a helmet and full protective gear, which significantly minimized his injuries. He only sustained minor cuts and a fracture on his right leg.
Both parties have since reached an amicable settlement, avoiding further legal complications, Lambunao police added./PN
