PhilHealth-6 intensifies campaign for KonSulTa Package enrolment

ILOILO City – To provide affordable and accessible outpatient health services to more Western Visayans, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) Region 6 is ramping up its efforts to promote the Konsultasyong Sulit Tama (KonSulTa) Package, a crucial component of the Universal Health Care (UHC) Law.

PhilHealth-6 has focused on increasing membership registration to ensure that more individuals benefit from the program, which offers free consultations and primary care services at accredited medical facilities across the region.

The KonSulTa Package, available to all PhilHealth members, provides essential outpatient services including initial consultations, follow-up care, health screenings, diagnostic tests, and prescribed medications.

“We are committed to expanding access to healthcare for all Filipinos,” said Janimhe Jalbuna, head of the Public Affairs Unit of PhilHealth-6. “Our goal is to increase the number of registrants, as the program is fully funded and provides significant health benefits.”

As of the first quarter of 2025, regional statistics show that the membership registration rate in Western Visayas is progressing steadily. Iloilo Province leads with 82.75% of residents registered, while other provinces like Aklan (78.18%) and Negros Occidental (81.21%) are also showing positive results.

Notably, 17.83% of Iloilo’s population is already enrolled in the KonSulTa Package, with the region-wide enrollment at 8.57%.

PhilHealth-6 urges unregistered members to fill out the necessary forms and visit accredited health facilities to ensure eligibility.

For members opting to avail themselves of the KonSulTa Package at private clinics, a nominal co-payment of P900 is required for an entire year of services, whereas government health facilities offer the package for free.

In a recent policy update, PhilHealth announced Circular No. 2025-0007, which removes the 45-day confinement limit for members, a move expected to ease access to care for more patients./PN
