Iloilo City cops seize P680K worth of shabu from high-value suspect

ILOILO City – A high-value suspect was arrested and an estimated P680,000 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao district at around 3:59 p.m. on Saturday, April 26.

The suspect, identified as Jose Manuel “Toto” Poral, 24 years old, single, and a resident of Barangay Our Lady of Lourdes, Jaro district, was temporarily residing in Barangay Bolilao at the time of his arrest.

According to the police report, operatives from Iloilo City Police Station 10 (ICPS10) led by Lieutenant Cosmeflor Marco Jr., Station Drug Enforcement Team leader, conducted the successful buy-bust operation.

Confiscated from the suspect were approximately 100 grams of suspected shabu, distributed in five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets.

Authorities also recovered P18,000 in buy-bust money, which included one P100 genuine bill with serial number MU764589 used as a subscribed bill, along with several non-drug items.

The seized illegal drugs will be turned over to the Regional Forensic Unit 6 (RFU6) for laboratory examination.

The suspect is currently under the custody of Police Station 10 and will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002)./PN
