The transition ceremony was presided over by DepEd National Capital Region regional director and concurrent OIC-Assistant Secretary for Operations, Director Jocelyn Andaya, who also led the installation of key officials for both Western Visayas and the Negros Island Region (NIR).
Dr. Eco, in his address, outlined his commitment to innovation and the efficient delivery of basic education services.
“Let us inspire change and champion excellence in this region,” he said, as he pledged to work closely with teachers, administrators, and education stakeholders.
Also installed were Dr. Ramir Uytico as regional director for NIR, and Schools Division Superintendent Anthony Liobet as OIC-Assistant Regional Director.
Dr. Uytico, who previously headed DepEd Region 6, described his tenure as a “meaningful journey” and expressed confidence that Eco would build on the programs already in place.
