ILOILO City – Victory is at hand — Team Uswag na!
Emotions ran high as more than 50,000 passionate supporters roared their full backing for Team Uswag, led by mayoral candidate Inday Raisa Treñas and reelectionist Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon, during yesterday’s electrifying Miting de Avance — aptly titled Kauswagan kag Kadalag-an 2025 — at the La Paz Football Field.
Inday Raisa assured that Iloilo City will remain a premier destination for investors and businesses, as she aims to continue the legacy of progressive leadership established by Mayor Jerry Treñas.
She emphasized that true prosperity must also be reflected in the quality of life of every Ilonggo family beyond economic success.
“Some might wonder how I will lead after Mayor Jerry, the father of progressive Iloilo. But with Vice Mayor Ganzon and the entire Uswag slate, we will continue making Iloilo a top city — in the Philippines and even in Asia,” Treñas declared.
She vowed to prioritize stable livelihoods, quality healthcare, proper nutrition, and education for children, ensuring that Iloilo remains a city where people take pride in their home and are cared for.
“On May 12, our names may be on the ballot, but so is the Ilonggo family. When you vote for me, you are also voting for the bright future of your family.”
Running-mate Vice Mayor Ganzon vowed to continue to be a strong support to Inday Raisa as how he helped Mayor Treñas complete major projects of the city.
Ganzon is known for his extensive legislative contributions with over 2,240 ordinances and 8,525 resolutions passed and approved under his leadership at the City Council, with the establishment of a new eight-storey Legislative Building.
With the vital but often unseen role of a vice mayor, Ganzon stressed that his job is to support the mayor and that he would serve as a guiding force for in achieving a better life for Ilonggos.
Ganzon also reaffirmed his advocacy for world-class education and sustainable growth as his message resonated strongly with the crowd, who cheered for continuity, stability, and unity in governance.
The event ended on a high note with the crowd erupted in chants of “Uswag Iloilo!”, echoing their call for progress.
Inday Raisa, Vice Mayor Ganzon, and 12 councilorables of Team Uswag stand firm in their advocacy for service with heart, principles, and genuine concern for the people.
Collectively known as CAZaDU DeSa TAGOMPaY, the formidable candidates are Atty. Sedfrey Cabaluna, Alan Zaldivar, Atty. Romel Duron, Nene Dela Llana, Atty. Rex Marcus Sarabia, Miguel Treñas, Lyndon Acap, Rudolph Jeffrey Ganzon, Atty. Sheila Olid, Mandrie Malabor, Atty. Frances Grace Parcon-Torres, and Johnny Young.
Mayor Treñas reminded voters to ensure sustainable governance and choose leaders committed to building a brighter future, urging them to support Team Uswag and the Uswag Ilonggo Party-list headed by Cong. Jojo Ang, number 156 on the ballot.
